National Business Development Manager
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + OTE £80k-£90k uncapped
At 4site, we help organisations across the built environment meet their compliance responsibilities with confidence. Our clients include property managers, facilities management providers, housing organisations and commercial property owners who rely on our expertise to manage compliance risk across their portfolios.
We're looking for an experienced National Business Development Manager to drive the next stage of our growth by building long-term relationships with new clients and positioning 4site as a trusted compliance partner.
This is not a transactional sales or quote-chasing role. It's about developing strategic client relationships, understanding complex regulatory challenges and creating opportunities that deliver long-term value for both our clients and our business.
The Role
You'll identify, research and engage prospective clients across the property management, facilities management, housing and wider built-environment sectors. Using a consultative approach, you'll build trust with senior decision-makers, develop opportunities over time and create lasting commercial partnerships.
Working closely with our technical specialists and Client Services team, you'll guide prospective clients through the early stages of their journey before handing over established relationships for ongoing account management.
Success in this role is measured by the quality of relationships you build, the strength of your strategic pipeline and your ability to convert complex, long-term opportunities into sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop strategic relationships with prospective clients across the built environment sector.
Identify, research and prioritise target organisations, markets and key decision-makers.
Build and manage a pipeline of high-value, long-term commercial opportunities.
Take a consultative approach to understanding client compliance challenges and positioning 4site as a trusted partner.
Create and deliver strategic engagement plans for priority sectors and accounts.
Work closely with technical and Client Services teams to ensure effective onboarding and transition of new clients.
Maintain accurate pipeline, account and opportunity information to support forecasting and commercial planning.
Represent 4site professionally through client meetings, presentations, networking events and industry forums.
Monitor market trends, regulatory developments and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities.
About You
You'll be an experienced business development professional who enjoys building relationships rather than chasing transactions. You're commercially astute, naturally curious and comfortable engaging senior stakeholders on complex business and regulatory challenges.
You'll ideally have:
Proven success in strategic business development, consultative sales or client partnership roles.
Experience within the built environment, property, facilities management, housing, compliance or professional services sectors.
A track record of developing complex, high-value opportunities with longer sales cycles.
Strong networking, influencing and relationship-building skills.
Excellent commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
Experience managing opportunities through CRM systems and maintaining accurate pipeline forecasts.
The ability to collaborate effectively across technical and operational teams.
Willingness to travel nationwide, potential stay aways to accommodate client meetings where necessary
Why Join 4site?
This is an opportunity to shape a newly defined strategic growth role with genuine autonomy and influence. You'll focus on developing meaningful client relationships, creating significant commercial opportunities and helping establish 4site as the compliance partner of choice across the built environment.
If you're motivated by building trust, developing strategic partnerships and delivering sustainable business growth, we'd love to hear from you.
