Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Residential PEEP?
A Residential Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) is a simple, practical plan that ensures your individual needs are catered for as part of your building’s fire safety strategy.
PEEPs are well established in workplaces, hospitals and public buildings, but have been introduced to residential buildings with The Fire Safety (Residential Evacuation Plans) (England) Regulations 2025.
What is a Person-Centred Fire Risk Assessment?
A PCFRA is a broader assessment that looks at a person’s needs and risks, and decides what measures are required — including whether a PEEP is needed.
Who is this for?
This is for residents who may have difficulty evacuating safely in an emergency, including those with mobility, health, or other practical considerations.
