Our fleet is going green!
Nearly all businesses rely on cars or vansand most organisations will use vehicles in some capacity. Here at 4site, ourAssessors rely on them for their daily site visits for risk assessments, surveys and inspections and our office-based staff for client meetings andevents.
Whilst it is not always possible toreduce the use of vehicles (if anything, our fleet is only growing!) there areways in which businesses can reduce their carbon footprint when it comes to thecars and vans they use.
Asour business grows, so does our carbon footprint but we have taken a steptowards reducing this impact by choosing greener vehicles.
Earlier this month, we added additional Toyota Yaris Hybrids to our fleet and they will lead the way for changing the whole fleet and replacing the existing vehicles with greener alternatives.
The Environment

Since the government has a commitment for “almost every car and van in the UK to be zero emission by 2050” we have decided to get ahead of the game by beginning our transition towards a greener fleet now.
All of the environmental steps that wetake as a business, no matter how small they may seem, will have a big effecton the environment. And, by reducing the impact of car fleets on theenvironment we are making a step towards becoming a much greener, cleanerbusiness.
Safety

As well as being better for theenvironment, the new vehicles have an abundance of safety features which willof course benefit our team who are using these cars on a very regular basis.
Some of the key safety featuresinclude Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian &Cyclist Detection, Lane Departure Alert, Road Sign Assist, Adaptive CruiseControl and Automatic High Beam.
As well as making our business’s driving moreenvironmentally friendly we also want to make sure that everyone is safer onthe roads.
These new vehicles are nowin use, with more of them to come as we continue to grow our fleet andtransition away from diesel, so see if you can spot one on the roads!
