Meet the team: Rose Barton
At 4site Consulting, our people help shape the way we communicate, grow and support clients across the property compliance and building safety sector. Behind every campaign, service launch, article and client update is a marketing function focused on making complex health, safety and compliance information clear, accessible and useful.
In this Meet the Team spotlight, we introduce Rose Barton, Head of Marketing at 4site Consulting. Rose plays a key role in leading the company’s marketing strategy, strengthening the 4site brand and helping to connect property managers, managing agents and industry professionals with the information they need across health and safety, fire safety, asbestos, water risk management and building safety services.
As 4site continues to develop its services and digital solutions for the UK property sector, Rose’s work helps ensure our message remains consistent, informative and client-focused, supporting both business growth and wider industry awareness.
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day in Marketing is always varied, which is one of the things I enjoy most about it. One day might involve writing website copy or planning social media content, and the next could be creating materials for an event, working on an email campaign, or helping another team explain a service more clearly.
A lot of my role is about taking the brilliant work happening across 4site and turning it into something clients can easily understand and engage with.
What did you do before you worked at 4site?
Before 4site, my career covered a mix of marketing, education and creative work. Most recently, I worked in marketing within the tech SaaS industry for several years.
Before that, I was a Primary School Teacher, and earlier in my career I ran a design and marketing company with my husband. I also have a background in illustration, having created artwork for newspapers and magazines many years ago.
What's one thing people might be surprised to learn about your job?
I think people might be surprised by how much thought goes into even the smallest piece of marketing. It is not just about posting on social media or making things look good. A big part of the job is understanding the industry, the services we offer, what clients need to know, and how to explain sometimes technical information in a clear and useful way. There is a lot of planning, research and teamwork behind the scenes.
What should clients be paying attention to right now?
Property managers have a lot to keep on top of at the moment, but one area I think deserves particular attention is preparation for Building Safety Case requirements. The 28-day call-up period can come around quickly once a request is made, and I’ve been surprised by how many people are not fully aware of that timescale. Even having a basic understanding of what information is available, where gaps might be, and who would need to be involved can make the process feel much more manageable.
Can you share a memorable experience from your time at 4site?
One of my most memorable moments at 4site was the day we found out that we had helped one of our clients secure their first Building Assessment Certificate. At the time, successful BAC applications were still few and far between, so the whole office was genuinely delighted.
It was especially lovely to see how much it meant to our Building Safety Team, who work so hard to make sure clients have the right information and support throughout the process. Our Managing Director ordered pizza for everyone, and it became a real day of smiles, celebration and shared pride across the office.
What's your favourite thing about working here?
My favourite thing about working at 4site is the people. Everyone is so warm, friendly and supportive, and there is a real sense of togetherness in the office, often helped along by someone bringing in home-baked treats to share.
I also really appreciate how approachable the senior leadership team are. There is a genuine open-door culture, and you feel comfortable sharing ideas and thoughts with people across the business, including the Managing Director.
4site has a strong family feel, which makes sense given its roots, and that still comes through in the way people work together today. I’ve also loved being able to attend awards evenings and celebrate the company’s achievements as part of the team.
