Elliott is a Water Risk Advisor at 4site and has spent over half a decade working as a qualified advisor within the industry. We interviewed Elliott to find out more about his role and his personal life:


Firstly, what does your job as Water Risk Advisor entail?

As a Water Risk Assessor for 4site, I am responsible for carrying out our Water/Legionella Services such as: Risk Assessments, Water Monitoring, Log Book & Schematics, as well as offering advice. I help to ensure that our clients are compliant with all regulatory standards including: HSG274 ACOP L8 and Water Regulations. This includes liaising with property managers, care takers or property owners with:

  • Site survey data and asset register.
  • Observations of water related plant (This may include photographs).
  • Risk rating.
  • Recommendations to reduce the risk.
  • Schematic drawings (depending of site)
  • Periodic monitoring regime.
  • Legionella and microbiological analysis (if required)



What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

Personal – I always say my children are my biggest achievement, they are the ones that motivate me.
Professional – receiving my City and Guilds in both Legionella Risk Assessments and Water Regulations. To now striving to achieve my goal in Health and Safety by studying for my NEBOSH National General Certificate and becoming a dual engineer.  



What are your top 3 movies/books?

Movies: Top-Gun, Tombstone, Back to the future (as a bonus all comic book genre movies)

Books/comics: Crisis on infinite earths(comic), A death in a family(comic), Rich Dad Poor Dad(book)



What do you like to do in your spare time?

“I am a husband and a father first. I cherish my time spent with my family; taking my kids to the park or playing superheroes where ‘daddy is the baddy’. I enjoy a good boxset/movie with my wife and I am an avid gym goer. Finally, if I have any time left, I enjoy reading comic books.
