Firstly, what does your job as Health, Safety and Fire Advisor entail?
“My day-to-day duties involve visiting buildings, such as blocks of flats and commercial premises, and checking for hazards. This is usually within the communal areas and external areas. I then compile a risk assessment so the client can be compliant and action any noncompliance and remedy the hazards. I am also available to provide advice.”
What were you doing before working at 4site?
“Before working at 4site I did 24 years’ service in HM Forces; The final 10 years of which covered health and safety compliance.”
What do you like to do in your spare time?
“In my spare time I like to play Football, golf and cycle.”
What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?
“My biggest personal achievement is getting selected to represent the Army at Football. My biggest professional achievement is passing my Nebosh exams.”
What do you enjoy most about your job?
“The thing I enjoy most about my job is that I get to travel to country and visit a variety of locations and assess a variety of buildings too.”
